Yesterday I learned that at least one bar owner has received a formal letter from a court informing him that the owners of the Square have been granted the right to terminate all leases in the Square early in January, 2009 and that the court will enforce tenants' departure by then.
No word on what the owners plan to do with the property, as far as I know. I also don't know what plans, if any, the current tenants have. that is, I don't know if they'll re-open elsewhere, go into some other sort of business, or settle back into retirement
